about Gina
Gina Ng has been a bilingual Career Counselor for the New York State Government at South Beach Psychiatric Center since 2005. She also works part-time as a Career Information Specialist at NYU's Office of Career Management and is a Career Advisor at the CUNY – City College. In fact, she is creating a career coaching program for CUNY - City College. In addition, Gina is a career coach for VAULT.com.
Gina is awaiting approval to teach a course called “Career Counseling Second Generation Minority Clients” at NYU this fall. She is one of the organizers for ORIENTED New York, a global network of international professionals interested in Asian business and partnerships, with more than 30,000 members worldwide. Prior to working at these institutions, she was a College Counselor at Pace High School.
In her spare time, Gina enjoys volunteering and giving back to the community. She has been invited to speak at various organizations. She has a fervent passion for the culinary arts, and is a co-owner of Halu, a Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn, NY. She has been successful in creating international publicity for her restaurant and has been interviewed by CBS News, Channel 12, SinoVision, NY Post, AM NY, local newspapers, and a radio station in Colombia.
Gina received her Masters in Counseling and a Certificate in Career Planning & Development from NYU. She acquired her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the State University of New York at Geneseo. Gina is also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), National Career Development Association (NCDA) and the NY Coalition for Asian American Mental Health. She was also the past National President of her sorority, Sigma Psi Zeta.
